Wayne Sweeting Obituary

Wayne “Digger” Sweeting, of Harrington, passed away at home, on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, at the age of 67.   He was the son of the late Thomas and Carolyn Sweeting.

Digger graduated from Dover High School in 1971, he then proudly served in the United States Air Force.  After leaving the military, he spent the past 43 years as an over the road truck driver, currently working for Aim Transport in Maryland.  Digger was a member of the CMA, Christian Motorcycle Association.

Digger was a quiet, reserved man who tended to keep to himself.  He enjoyed his riding his motorcycle, collecting model trains, and watching shows on the computer.  In his own private way, he showed his love for his family.

Digger is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Cathy Sweeting; brothers, John and Mark Sweeting; extended family and a few close friends.

Digger has been reunited with his son, Paul Sweeting, who passed away on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021.

A memorial service for Digger will be held at a later date by the family.
