Vivian Newnom

Vivian Newnom, Houston, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, on Sunday, May 8, 2022, she was 95.  She was born to the late, William "Doc" Davis and Hattie Davis (Prettyman).

Vivian retired from the State of Delaware as a secretary for Lake Forest South Elementary School.   She played the church organ for 60 years.  Vivian was an excellent cook who enjoyed feeding family and friends.  She enjoyed auctions and antiquing trips, and especially enjoyed spending time gardening and mowing her lawn. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William T. "Bill"  Newnom IV, and four brothers.

She is survived by her children, Bill Newnom (Margie), David Newnom (Sylvia), Laura Joseph (Fred), and Linda Evans; grandchildren, Amy Genda, Jason Webb, Lisa Newnom, Emily Joseph; 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews.

A Graveside service for Mrs. Newnom will be on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 11am, at the Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
