T. Cora Bonniwell

T. Cora Bonniwell, of Harrington, passed away at the Bayhealth Sussex Campus, on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021, at the age of 72.  She was the daughter of the late, Byron “Buddy” and Thelma Kemp.

Cora worked for the State of Delaware in the Economic Development Office as an Administrative Assistant for 42 years.  She was proud to be a life member of the Harrington Volunteer Fire Company, and proud to have been a graduate of the Felton High School class of ’66.

Cora’s life revolved around her family and her grandchildren, Chase and Wyatt, whom she loved to spend as much time as she could with them.  Her favorite activities included traveling, watching home shopping networks and online shopping, and being in the outdoors.  Cora was known as one of the nicest people you would ever meet,  who worried about others above herself.  She will be missed for her loving, caring, and thoughtful ways.

Cora is survived by her loving husband William T. Bonniwell; son, Aaron (Christie) Bonniwell; grandsons, Chase and Wyatt Bonniwell; sisters, Denise Abbott and Joyce Lynch; numerous extended family and friends.

A Memorial Service will take place at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy, Harrington, on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 11 am.  A visitation for family and friends will take place one hour prior to the service.  We are adhering to the CDC and Delaware guidelines of occupancy limits, social distancing, and masks.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Harrington Ladies Auxillary of the Harrington Fire Company, 20 Clark St., Harrington, DE 19952.
