Shirley Wirick Obituary

Shirley E. Wirick (Larimore), of Harrington, passed away at Pinnacle Rehab and Health Center, on Sunday, April 17, 2022, at the age of 68.

Shirley graduated from Lake Forest High School in 1970.  She later became a title clerk at a small car dealership for several years. She was also a ticket clerk at Harrington fairgrounds racetrack. She enjoyed meeting and conversing with many people there.

Shirley had a passion for photography, her dogs, and the outdoors.  She loved to dress her dogs up to pose for photos for holidays, which would become calendars for family and friends. The dogs really enjoyed it too! One of her fondest memories as a child was walking along the railroad tracks picking up any coins she found so she could attend the Delaware State Fair. Shirley enjoyed a simple life whether it was camping, riding her motorcycle, or visiting the Maryland Renaissance Festival.

Shirley is preceded in death by her grandparents, who raised her, James (Bud) Larimore and Vertie Williamson Fleetwood. She is also preceded in death by her father, James Paul Larimore, and her mother, Edna Mae Edwards (Moore).

Shirley is survived by her husband, Larry J. Wirick; step-daughter, Tracy Wirick; step-son, Larry J. Wirick II (Jim); step-grandchildren Jessica Rene Land (Wirick) and Jeremy James Wirick; half-sister, Brenda Larimore, and half- brother, Allen Moore, and several other half-siblings.

In lieu of flowers and a service, donations can be made in her memory to the First State Animal Shelter and SPCA in Camden, Delaware.
