Roberta Stubbs

Roberta “Berta” Stubbs, Harrington, peacefully passed on September 15, 2023 with her family by her side, at the age of 64.  She was the daughter of the late Edgar and Thelma Stubbs.
Berta started work for Burris Foods which became C & S Wholesale Groceries before retiring with over 37 years of service.  She was a member of the Harrington Women of the Moose Chapter 1229.

Berta was an easy-going person who never complained. She loved making crafts, going to Lancaster to shop, and going to all the Dollar General stores in DE with her Aunt Betty.  Prior to this year, she never missed attending the Delaware State Fair. She was an avid Delaware Thunder supporter and enjoyed watching the Baltimore Ravens. Berta deeply loved her family and was always there for them.

In addition to her parents, Berta is preceded in death by her niece, Jennifer Stubbs.

Berta is survived by her brothers, Barney Stubbs (Sherri) and Larry Stubbs (Carol Ann); nephews, Jimmy Messick (Kacie), and Byron “LB” Stubbs (Kelli); niece, Jenna Stubbs; great nieces and nephews, Byron, Sydney, Savannah, Ryleigh, and Cole; great great nephew, Brydon; special friend and cousin, Donna Kemp; sister in law, Jo Anne Mathews; and special care giver, Marsee Morris.

A service will be held privately at a later date.
