Robert Wayne Teed

Robert Wayne Teed, 71 of Lincoln, DE passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021 surrounded by his family that he loved dearly. Wayne was the son of the late Kenneth and Pearl Teed.

After graduating Harrington High School in 1967, he joined the United State Marine Corp where he served 2 years in Vietnam earning multiple metals including a Purple Heart.

After returning home to Delaware in 1969, he found his passion and became a Master Electrician forming his own business T&T Electric. Wayne found a new opportunity advancing his skills at Playtex in Dover, DE. He then finished out his career traveling around the country as an electrical sub-contractor for Lowes Dept stores.

Wayne enjoyed spending time collecting and refurbishing antiques. He was the keeper of many “treasures”. Wayne was a lifetime member of the Mid-Del Archery Association. He enjoyed racing his Jeep at the Delaware 4 Wheel association meets, and loved racing sailboats at the Cape Henlopen Yacht Club. He was a great hunter and loved to go fishing.

He will forever be remembered as a genuine, fun-loving father, grandfather and friend. He was always the life of the party with his quick wit and orneriness, but always put his daughters first as his number one priority.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Pearl Teed, his sister Arlene Teed, and brother Thomas Teed.

He is survived by his daughters Shauna Baird (Steve), Amber Elliott (Dean); grandsons Tanner King, Dustin Reeder, Jordan Elliott (Stacie), David Elliott, Stevie Baird, Christopher Erickson, Cameron Murray, and great granddaughter, Stevie Ella Rae Elliott; brother George Teed; sisters Louise Downes, Marilyn Buckingham, Margaret Bernholdt, Mary Jane Zeitler, Norma Edwards, Lois Poore, Betty Blair, Rose Vestal; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Services for Wayne will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wilmington VA Medical Center, 1601 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE 19805
