R. Alan Quillen

Robert Alan Quillen, 66 of Felton, passed away at home on November 6, 2023. He was the son of the late Robert Albert Quillen and Betty Reimer.

Alan was a simple, independent man who enjoyed tinkering and fixing up things. He was known to be a handyman to others who needed help, especially those older than him in the neighborhood. He was very particular and kept things tidy to the extent that even his “junk drawer” was neat. Alan was fond of the outdoors, had a beautiful flower garden, and a distinctive touch when it came to growing plants.

He also had a special way with kids; and was well-loved by his nieces, nephews, and younger cousins, as he was always teasing them and making them laugh. His favorite expression was “I don’t know”, whether he knew the answer or not, which was often said with that unforgettable unique laugh of his. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his sisters, Trudy Killen, Brenda Waite (Dwayne); brother, Kenny Quillen (Alice); nieces, Christy Bakas (Dean); Kim Killen; nephews, JR Skeels, Shawn Quillen (Shellea), AJ Skeels; and several great nephews, great nieces and cousins.

Services will held privately at a later date.
