Paul H. Wagner, 79, of Harrington, passed away on April 27, 2023 at Bayhealth Sussex Campus after an extended stay in the hospital. He was the son of the late, Howard and Mildred Wagner.
Paul was a lifelong resident of Harrington, DE. After Graduating from Harrington High School’s Class of 63, Paul joined the Army and went on to serve his country in Vietnam, receiving the Bronze Star for Valor. Paul then went on to work for Dupont and J&S Engineering until he discovered a keen interest in hauling sand, stone, and pea gravel. Paul bought a dump truck and became an independent owner/operator hauling for more than 30 years.
Paul’s true passion was for motorcycles, and building drag motors. He was the very first person to purchase the Boss Hoss V8 kit and build. This took off widely across the globe and Paul was widely known and respected for his superior mechanical ingenuity. Paul was an avid reader of all things motors, he enjoyed traveling and took many trips to South Dakota; Florida and even China, additionally he liked to play the electric guitar. He will be fondly remembered to his friends as "La De Da” where he always greeted you with a warm hug, a “Hey, Hey, Hey” and a joke or two to tell.
In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Gary Homewood; and his nephew, Glenn Homewood.
He is survived by, his sister, Eleanor Homewood; niece, Elaine (Greg) Test; nephew Mark (Sonja) Homewood; and many friends and extended family members.

Funeral Services celebrating the Life of Paul will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Hwy, Harrington DE 19952, at 1pm. A viewing will take place 1 hours prior, beginning at 12 noon. Interment will be at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington, DE.
