Nicholas J. Klonitsko Jr., Harrington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at his home, he was 86. He is the son of the late, Mary and Nicholas Klonitsko Sr.
Mr. Klonitsko proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years. After serving in the military, he became a computer engineer. Mr. Klonitsko enjoyed teaching his children to fish, was involved with Apollo missions, and was an avid Washington Redskins fan. He enjoyed going to auctions, dancing, and traveling with his late wife. Mr. Klonitsko was a devoted family man, and always involved with his children's activities, and coached little league.
Mr. Klonitsko was a tough but loving father with a strong faith in the Lord, raising his family to walk in the way of the Lord. He was a member of the St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church and the American Legion.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Klonitsko is preceded in death by his grandson, Nicholas Carbott.
Mr. Klonitsko is survived by his children, Betty Sutter, Deborah Carbott, Daniel Klonitsko (Patricia), Ronald Klonitsko, Sally Strawbridge (Kevin), and Shirley Fatherlos (Brian); sister, Marsha Klonitsko; 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Services will be on Thursday, February 23, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Harrington, at 11 AM. A visitation will take place from 10 AM to 10:45 AM, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, DE. Interment will take place at the Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, MD, Friday, February 24, at 11 AM.
