Michael E. McDaniel, Harrington, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022, he was 22 years old. Michael is the son of Michael Jr. and Kathryn McDaniel.
Michael attended the Lake Forest School District. He was very athletic, and enjoyed playing sports and excelled at every single one of them whether it was baseball, basketball, track, and football. In 8th grade he was the MVP of his football team.
Michael worked various jobs over the years, but mainly worked as a gutter installer. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars being with family and friends, and especially loved playing with his nephew, Soren, who lovingly referred to his as, "Uncle Pickle". He also enjoyed spending time at the beach with family. If there was anything that Michael wanted to do and did not know how, he would teach himself how to do it. He taught himself how to play guitar for example.
Michael shared a special bond with his sister, and cared for her deeply. Michael loved to be goofy and make people laugh. He had a smile and a laugh that was contagious. He had a heart of gold and a servants heart. He would quite literally give someone the shoes off of his feet because he felt like they deserved them more. He loved deeply, cared deeply, and was very compassionate. He had a passion to help others in need. "Mighty Mike" was an under rated nickname for him, as he truly was the most kindest person anyone would ever meet. He will be sadly missed.
One of the fondest memories shared with his mother is when she worked in the cafeteria of the school he was attending, and as he passed through the lunch line, she would tell him, "Mommy loves you", and he would answer back, "Michael loves Mommy".
Michael is preceded in death by a grandmother, Leota McDaniel; great grandfather, Donald Phelps; great grandfather, George Scheufele, Sr.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Kelsey McDaniel; nephew, Soren Erich; girlfriend, Emily Russell; grandparents, Patsy (George) Scheufele, Michael McDaniel Sr.; great grandmothers, Valena Phelps, Molly Ann Scheufele; uncles, George (Jodi) Scheufele, Raymond (Tara) Scheufele, Jeremy McDaniel; his two best friends, Doug Bryant, Sean Duffy; extended family and close friends.
