Melvin St Clair, Sr. Obituary

Melvin J. St Clair Sr., of Seaford, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020, at his home, at the age of 77.  He was the son of Melvin H. and Mary St. Clair.

Melvin proudly served in the military for 32 years as a U. S. Marine and later in the National Guard.  After his military service, he retired from Lifetime Well Driller Inc.

Melvin was a very hard worker with a good sense of humor.  When he was not working, he enjoyed watching Westerns on TV, Rocky, and cheering on the Eagles.  Melvin also had a love of Italian food, hoagies but preferred his wife’s homecooking.  While he could be a tough nut to crack, once you got to know him, you’d see he believed in being fair and honest.  Melvin was always willing to help, even if he grumbled about it.  He loved his family immensely.

In addition to his parents, Melvin is preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Harding; sister, Suzanne Lord; brothers, John and Roy St. Clair.

Melvin is survived by his longtime love, his wife, Cherrie St. Clair; sons, Melvin (Tammy) St. Clair Jr and Raymond (Noel) St. Clair; daughter, Virginia Wessell; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann Bentley, and his beloved cat, Jake.
