Harry Dennis Spicer, Harrington, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 28, 2022 at the Christiana Care Hospital, he was 73. Harry was born in Milford, DE to the late, Harry and Agnes L. Spicer.
Harry served his country proudly in the United States Army, and served in the Vietnam War. Harry was a meat cutter for Acme for over 36 years. He was a hard worker and enjoyed what he did.
In his younger days, Harry enjoyed hunting and fishing and being out on his boat. He enjoyed rides in the mornings and afternoons looking at scenery. He loved to sit on his porch and watch the people go by. He enjoyed family gatherings on holidays, and loved spending time with his two great nephews. Harry was a quiet person who loved his solitude, but had a tremendous love for his family who will miss him dearly.
Harry was a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge, and also the American Legion where he enjoyed visiting and drinking his Coke.
Harry is survived by his sisters, Doris (Wayne) Porter, Connie Walls; nephew, Greg (Shauna) Porter; and great nephews, Kasen and Kade Porter.
Services for Harry will be on Friday, April 1, 2022, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy, Harrington, at 11 AM. A visitation for family and friends will start at 10AM. Interment will take place at the Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
