Gary E. Bunting

Gary E. Bunting, Harrington, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at the Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, he was 70.  Gary was born in Milford, DE to the late, Harold and Helen Bunting. 

Gary was a self employed graphic artist who owned his own business, Side Effects, Inc. for over 35 years.  He specialized in lettering race cars, trucks, signs, and pin striped by hand for many local dealerships.  When he was not busy at work, he enjoyed Civil War reenacting and belonged to the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW).  He was a member of Company E (Black Eagle Rifles), where he rose from the rank of Private to Captain.

Gary loved to be around old cars, and enjoyed working on them and refinishing them.  He has restored several over the years.  Another favorite activity was racing and building slot cars.  Gary will be remembered as very detail oriented and hilarious.  He had a great sense of humor and was extremely funny with a very good wit.  His charisma, charm, and love of his family will be sorely missed.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother in law, Glen Argo.

He is survived by his loving wife, Denise Bunting; daughter, Karen Memmolo; brother, Harold J. (Gradella) Bunting; sister, Joyce Argo; and countless friends and extended family and civil war family.
