Eric Daniel “Dan” Trader, of Laurel, passed away TidalHealth Nanticoke, on Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at the age of 48. He is the son of David Trader.
One of Dan’s first jobs was working for Louie’s Pizza prior to graduating from Milford High School in 1991. He went on to proudly serve in the US Navy. Dan never stopped his love of cooking, he worked for several restaurants over the years, where it could be one course to five, catering, and for family at home. He currently was a manager and buyer for Vernon Powell/SAS.
Dan enjoyed photography, he would shoot weddings, portraits and landscapes locally to many other states. He enjoyed watching Nascar and getting into simulated driving. Dan loved the speed and to be in the top ten which he had achieved the top five spot. His favorite driver was Jeff Gordon #24 car.
Dan was a member of the Masons, in Milford and in Laurel. He enjoyed zoom talks with the fellow members, once a week, during the past several weeks of the pandemic. Dan really enjoyed belonging to the Masons and going back into their history.
Dan is preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Lola Trader; uncle, Douglas Trader; aunts, Lois Melvin and Betty Trader.
In addition to his father, Dan is survived by his aunts and uncles, Albert Trader (Darlene), Faye Trader, Kenneth Trader, Gary Trader, and Dennis Trader (Norma); several cousins; and his faithful sidekick, Maverick.
A celebration of Life Service for Dan, will be on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at 1PM with a visitation starting at 12 PM, at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Hwy. Interment will take place at Milford Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milford.
