Edna Roberta Mae Neibert, Blades, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 6, 2022, from the Tidalhealth Nanticoke Hospital, she was 91. She was born in Mannyunk, PA, and raised in Greenwood by her late parents, Charlie and Marie Spicer.
Mrs. Neibert was a hard worker all her life, always working various jobs to make a living and earn money for her family. Her jobs included working in a spoon factory, hostess for the restaurant Lettuce Bowl, and working at LD Caulk to name a few.
In her earlier years, she enjoyed painting china and ceramics, needlework, sewing, and gardening. However, her passion in life, besides her family, was cooking and baking. She was so good and well known for her food, that she had a side business selling her baked goods. Two of her best and sought after foods were her chicken and dumplings and cole slaw. When asked about her secret ingredients for either, she would reply, the secret ingredient is love. Mrs. Neibert was well loved by all and will be forever missed.
She was a member of the Ellendale United Methodist Church, and a charter member of the Ellendale Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Arietta Tucker, Gladys Dempsey, George Passwaters, Kathleen King, Marie Rachelli, Marion Mitchell, Herbert Passwaters; and a grandson, J. Curtis Towers, Jr.
She is survived by her children, Robert A. Neibert, Verona L. Towers, Donna L. Neibert; grandsons, Christpoher A. Neibert, John R. Bonnewell; great grandchildren, Andrew Towers, Jessica Towers, Ryan Towers, Allyson Neibert, Cole Neibert, Nate Bonnewell; 13 nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will take place at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 1 PM, with a visitation starting at noon. Interment will take place at the Bridgeville Cemetery
