David Van Vorst Obituary

MILFORD – David R. Van Vorst went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, October 10, 2021, at his home.

David was born the youngest child to the late Cornelius “Jr” and Anna Mae (Webb) Van Vorst.   He graduated from Milford High School in Milford, De.  He worked for the State of Delaware for 15 years then went on to work alongside his brother Bill for Van Vorst Construction.   He was currently working for IG Burton.  He enjoyed traveling and did so every chance he got.  David had been an avid Pittsburgh fan since he was little.  He loved watching Steelers and Penguin games and wearing his team attire.  He was a faithful member of the House of Praise Church in Greenwood, De. where he considered everyone there family.

He is survived by his sister Connie (Wayne) Eisenbrey, his brother and best friend Bill (Wanda) Van Vorst, his niece Cindy (Shawn) Hudson, his nephews Chris (Amy) VanGorder, Steve (Jamie) VanGorder, his best buddy Fred; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.

In memory of David, the family asks that you hug your loved ones a little tighter and little longer each day.  We none know when we will be called home.

The family will hold a private service at a later date.
