Walter E. Vincent

Walter E. “Eddie” Vincent, of Houston, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026 with his family by his side, at the age of 80. He was the son of Roy and Elizabeth Harrington. 

Eddie proudly served in the US Army during Vietnam. After his time in the military, he was a truck driver for Hi-Grade and Kirby and Holloway for over 30 years. Eddie was a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge and American Legion CKRT Post 7. Eddie was a very social person who would do anything for anyone. He enjoyed watching Nascar racing, Dale Earnhardt Sr. was his favorite driver. Eddie enjoyed classic cars and going to car shows to display his 1957 Chevy or to socialize. He loved watching old westerns on TV, and in his younger years he enjoyed surf fishing and hunting.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Lorrie with Vitas Hospice, her kindness was greatly appreciated and will be remembered.

In addition to his parents, Eddie is preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Ratledge.

Eddie is survived by his son, George Vincent (Crystal); grandchildren, Alison Vincent, Monica, Morgan, and Billy Keene; several great grandchildren and all who knew him.

A funeral service was held privately by the family.
