Ricky L. Dale

Richard “Ricky” Dale, Seaford, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 28, 2026, at his home, he was 71. Ricky was born to the late Raymond G. Dale Sr. and Margaret L. Dale.

Formerly employed by Messick and Gray Millwright, Ricky was a welder and mason by trade and quite good at his craft.

Ricky was a people person; he loved to have a good time surrounded by family and friends. He could be found fishing, hunting, crabbing, watching Nascar, going to car shows, visiting Ocean City, attending concerts, or playing pool. Ricky enjoyed watching sports, particularly the Dallas Cowboys and Boston Red Sox, attending family and friend barbecues, and just going out driving and visiting people. Known for stirring the pot, Ricky was everyone’s best friend, and loved to joke around. He was always happy and jovial and without a worry in the world. He truly never had a bad day or was mad at anyone. He had a zest of life and a good time and will be sadly missed.

In addition to his parents, Ricky is preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Dale Jr.

Ricky is survived by his brothers, Kerry, David, and Kevin Dale; sisters, Trena Carter and Gloria Nye; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at the Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington, DE at 12:30 PM. A Celebration of Life service will take place at the American Legion CKRT Post #7 immediately after from 1-3 PM.
