Prezannie Johnson

Prezannie Johnson, 66, of Harrington, Delaware, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026. Born on February 11, 1960, in Milford, Delaware, he was the son of the late George W. (Ambrose) Johnson and Grace Mae (Jones) Johnson.

Prezannie attended Sussex Central High School, Class of 1979, where he excelled as a star basketball player. His athletic talent left a lasting impression on those who knew him during his school years. Following his education, Prezannie built a career at Townsend in Millsboro, Delaware, where he worked diligently and made meaningful contributions to his community.

A man of faith and devotion, Prezannie was an active member of Philadelphia Pentecostal Holiness Church in Ellendale, Delaware. His love for cooking and telling jokes brought joy to many gatherings with family and friends. Whether preparing a meal or sharing a laugh, Prezannie had a way of bringing people together.

Prezannie is survived by his beloved wife, Beulah (Beasley) Johnson; his sons Layfayette Wise; Prezannie Conquest; and Kenny (Corlet) Williams of Frederica, Delaware; and his daughters Kay (Ralph) Reed of Georgetown, Delaware; Chonita (Derrick) Whitehurst; Lyonita (Keith) Shannon; and Twanda Williams—all of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. He also leaves behind his siblings: Luvinia Drummond of Richmond, Virginia; George (Lisa) Jones of Bridgeville, Delaware; Alfonzo (Pam) Johnson of Delmar, Maryland; and Delilah (Bruce) Revel of Millsboro, Delaware.

Prezannie's extended family includes his cherished in-laws: Felicia Mullen of Lincoln, Delaware; Annette & Jerome Daniels of Bridgeville, Delaware; Carolyn & Jeff Perry of Dover, Delaware; Mary Beasley of Dover, Delaware; Marjorie & Thomas Golden of Milton, Delaware; and Alice Seymore of Elizabeth City, North Carolina.

He was predeceased by his parents as well as his brother William Jones and sister Nevita Johnson.

Prezannie's memory will be forever treasured by those who knew him. His warmth and humor touched countless lives. May his legacy bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026 at 12:00 Noon, with a time of gathering for family and friends starting at 11 AM, at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son 15522 S. DuPont Hwy, Harrington, Delaware.
