Laura A Thurau

Laura Thurau, of Harrington, passed away on June 28, 2026 at Bayhealth Kent Campus, at the age of 58. She was the daughter of Rosemarie Thurau and the late Kenneth Thurau.

As the heart of her family, she loved them fiercely. With a wit that made everyone laugh. An honesty in her words as if she only spoke “The Truth”. She owned a presence which made people feel completely seen.

Finding joy in simple things. Red Bull, online shopping, or Karaoke with family at reunions. She would gather loved ones for game nights where laughter was infectious. To her family she was home. Truly one of a kind.

In addition to her mother, Laura is survived by her children, Edward Thurau, Cheyanne Camacho, and Kendal Camacho; brother, Charles Thurau (Judy spouse), sister Jennifer Kulczynski (Chris spouse); and her grand-dogs & grand-cats.

A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, July 8, at 6 PM, with a two-hour visitation starting at 4 PM, at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy, Harrington, DE. Burial will be private.
