Kathy Callaway

Kathy A. Callaway, Felton, passed away on peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at the Delaware Hospice Center with her family by her side, she was 73. She was the daughter of the late William Metcalf Jr. and Nancy Brennan.

Kathy had a caring nature, often putting others ahead of herself, which she carried over into her career as a certified medical assistant which she loved. She worked 20 years for Occupational Health in Alabama, once she moved to Delaware, she worked for Dr. Keller at the Milford Pediatrics prior to her retirement.

Kathy was the matriarch of her family which she loved dearly and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed making Christmas gifts, word searches to keep her mind active, and traveling. Kathy was known for her joyful, happy disposition and being the family photographer. She will be missed by all the lives she’s touched throughout the years.

In addition to her parents, Kathy is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis C. Callaway; daughter, Samantha Lettie Callaway; and brother, Wm. Michael Metcalf.

Kathy is survived by her son, W. Travis Callaway (Ashleigh); grandchildren, Steven Porter, Eric Porter, Jace Porter, Drew Porter, Kalie Porter, Kyle Callaway, and Nathan Callaway; great grandchildren, Landon Porter, Hanna Porter, Sam Porter, Tate Coverdale, Lila Callaway, Nash Porter, Alani Porter, and Savannah Porter; sister, Rebecca Metcalf; beloved labradoodle, Sammi; and extended family and friends.
