Franklin Dale Brown

Franklin Dale Brown of Harrington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at his home, he was 69. Dale was born in Milford, DE to the late Watson Franklin Brown and Phyllis Ann Brown.

Mr. Brown worked as a mechanic for Perdue Inc, for over 40 years and previously employed by Easter Shore Equipment. Dale was a homebody who kept to himself mostly and lived an independent life. He loved being around his family, playing softball, going to his grandchildren’s sports games when he could, and even caring for his mother. One of his favorite things to do was going thrift shopping with his nephew Isaac and selling their treasures on Ebay. He checked in on his close friends and family whenever possible. He could be blunt at times, but he had a heart of gold and will be sadly missed.

In addition to his mother Phyllis Ann Brown, he is survived by his daughter, Chastity A. (Billy Jr.) Harvey; grandchildren, Billy III, Dylan, Heather Harvey; sister, Dina (Shawn) Wright and his nephews, Isaac and Derek Lewis.

A Funeral Service will take place at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday. April 14, 2026, at 1 PM with a visitation starting at 12 noon. Interment will take place at the Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
