Christa H. Persad

Christa H. Persad, 70, of Harrington, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She is the daughter of the late Engelbert and Herta Ehbauer.

Born and raised in Germany, Christa kept her German roots close to her heart. In her youth, she enjoyed traveling, dancing, and going to concerts. As the proud maternal matriarch, Christa was the center of her family. She was devoted to her children and served as both friend, confidant, and whatever they needed at the time. She never tried to intrude in anyone’s life and was always accepting others, as long as you stayed true to yourself. She was truly a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who was an outgoing, loving, sarcastic, yet feisty person and truly had a big heart. Christa had a soft spot for her dogs, often donating money to the ASPCA, other pet charities, and even a donkey charity. She will be dearly missed.

Christa is survived by her loving husband, Randal Persad; children, Anthony Persad, Porscha Persad, and Jamain Jenkins; granddaughter, Sophie Jenkins; and sister, Johanna Spielvogl.

Services will be private. Whether it’s taking a trip, dancing, or donating to a pet charity, the family requests you honor Christa in your own way.
