Barry Lee Shehorn

Barry Lee Shehorn, FELTON, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from the Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, he was 65 years old. Barry was born in Wilmington to the late, Elvin H. and Corrine N. Shehorn.

Barry worked as an installer/technician for Community Heating and AC Inc for the last 10 years. Barry was a hard worker, both on and off the clock. He never took a day off to simply relax, it was always on to the next project, always busy doing something. He loved to work on cars, tearing them down and putting them back together. He always stayed motivated whether it was his projects, or going fishing, hunting, camping, riding his Harley, or gardening. He was never one to stand still.

Family was very important to Barry, and he loved spending as much time as possible with them. Barry is described as a real go getter and laid back. He would help anyone that asked for his help and would never say no to anyone. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Lance Shehorn.

He is survived by his son, Danny Reifendifer; granddaughter, Avi Robinson; siblings, Richard (Charolenne) Shehorn, Donna Thomas, Dale Shehorn, Cheryl Tripp, Thomas Shehorn, Sharon Kemp; many nieces and nephews and extended family.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Barry’s life will be held at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Hwy., Harrington, DE, on Friday, April 24th, at 1 PM with visitation starting at 12 Noon.
