Robert Neal Fisher, Jr. (Bob), age 51, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Fredricks, his father, Robert N. Fisher, Sr., his children Amanda Renee and Robert Neal III, his brother, Philip Andrew, his nieces, nephews, hunting buddies, and girlfriend, Lorie Wyatt.
Bob graduated from Capital Baptist High School in Dover, DE and attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. He started working during high school as a custodian and weekend cook at the Modern Maturity Center. He went on to a 35-year career building and rehabilitating homes throughout Delaware.
He developed many hobbies and lifelong friends beyond his work. An avid outdoorsman, Bob loved hunting, fishing, crabbing, playing cards, bowling, and fantasy football. These times were spent with close friends including Ron, John, Marty, Jack, and Dwayne. In addition to hunting and fishing, he was involved in community sports, volunteering as a Little League Baseball coach for many years. Bob’s favorite teams were the Baltimore Orioles and the Dallas Cowboys.
There are many characteristics that defined Bob. Most important was his compassion and love for others. True to his nature, he was able to save others by donating through the Gift of Life Program.
Family would like to extend a special thank you to the ICU staff at Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital for their compassion and care for Bob and his loved ones.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 29 at Calvary Wesleyan Church, 240 Delaware Avenue, Harrington, DE, at 1:00 PM with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at the Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington. One of Bob’s favorite things at family gatherings was telling stories. We ask that those who have stories of Bob, and are willing, share these memories at the service or with those you love.
