Mabel A. Melvin

HARRINGTON — Mabel Melvin passed away on Monday, Sept. 5, 2017, at Genesis Center in Milford. Mrs. Melvin was born in Mason City, Iowa to the late Sophmore and Gloria Mae Kimball. She was 98.

Mabel worked for 15 years at L. D. Caulk Company in Milford.

Mabel was a sweet kind-hearted person that loved to talk and take walks anywhere she could and watch the birds as she was feeding them. She loved spending as much time as she could with family, especially her two grand-daughters. 

Mabel attended Calvary Wesleyan Church, and Pilgrim Chapel Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Melvin was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Melvin; son, Charles Melvin; and four brothers.

She is survived by grand-daughters, Donna Jackson (Chris Killen), and Barbara Rogers (Jack Scarborough); one great-grandson and one great-great-grandson.  

Services will take place at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 at 12 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will be at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
