Lisa S. McFarland

Milford - Lisa McFarland passed away, Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, in the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was born to Glen McFarland and the late Suzanne McFarland.

Lisa worked in social services all of her adult life.  She worked for the State of Delaware for over 20 years including with Probation and Parole, Stevenson House. Lisa had a great interest in helping children in need.

Lisa graduated from North Putnam High School and Anderson University, Indiana.

In addition to her mother, Lisa was preceded in death by her grandparents.

In addition to her father, Lisa is survived by her adopted daughters, Jayden McFarland and Jessica Welch; granddaughter, Alexis; brother, Brian (Tracey); sisters, Tammy (David) McGaughey and Amy (John) Copner; step-mother, Shirley McFarland; many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will take place at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at 11 a.m.  A visitation for family and friends will take place one hour prior. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Life Baptist Church, 945 S. DuPont Hwy, Milford, DE 19963 or Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
