Jean E. SpenceJanuary 15, 2018
Jean Eleanor Spence, formerly of Bridgeville, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Milford Center, she was 88. She is the daughter of the late, Arthur Solomon and Mildred Helen Trice.
Mrs. Spence worked as a pipe fitter for DuPonts in Seaford. When she was not hard at work, she enjoyed painting and drawing, and was quite talented. She loved to garden and tend to her flower beds. She was an animal activist and made sure to keep her bird and squirrel feeders full for them. She enjoyed going to the beach, travelling, and shopping.
She will be fondly remembered as an outgoing person who was not afraid to tell you like it was. She loved her family immensely and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her spunky, loving, and caring nature will be sadly missed.
Mrs. Spence was a member of the Harrington Senior Center and a former member of the Harrington Moose Lodge.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John L. Spence Jr., and a great great grand daughter, Hannah Jean Willoughby.
