Gregory P Franz

Gregory P. Franz of Harrington, DE  passed away at the University of Penn Hospital on Thursday, November 1, 2018.  He was 71 years old. He was the son of the late Edward and Lorraine Franz.

Gregory was a chef by trade and spent his life working hard to provide for his family, sometimes working 2-3 jobs at a time. He loved birds, and especially enjoyed raising cockatiels. Gregory always had a joke to tell, and his family was his world. He will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his son, Daniel Franz.  

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Eleanor Franz; sons, Gregory and Edward Franz; daughter, Marie Franz; sisters, Fran Girace and Sue Owen; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Funeral services will take place at Melvin Funeral Home on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 12 pm with a visitation for family and friends one hour prior. Burial will be private.
