Elizabeth L Hopkins

Elizabeth L. Hopkins, HARRINGTON, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2019 from her daughters home, she was 93.  Mrs. Hopkins was born in Boothwyn, PA to the late Clifford and Katherine Baker.

Mrs. Hopkins, or "Betty" as she was known to most, worked in the office of Playtex for over 35 years, until her retirement in June of 1992.  In her younger days, she enjoyed playing cards with her friends.  She also enjoyed going out to eat with family and friends, and spending quality time with her family.  She will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband John Hopkins in January 1992, and her son in law, Carlos K. Bean in Sept. 2018. 

She is survived by her daughter, with who she lived with for the past 7 years, Sharon Bean; grandson, Jeff Beene, who was very dear to her; sister, Margaret Roper; also her extended family, step grandchildren, Sandy (Roy) Melvin, Jack (Holly) Bean; step great grandchildren, Brian Reynolds, Brad (Ashley) Reynolds, Sara (Brandon) White; and 2 great great grandchildren, Jordyn and Beau Reynolds.

A special thanks to Compassionate Care hospice for their care with an extended special thanks to Erika and Rich. 

Funeral Services will take place at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at 11 AM with a visitation for family and friends starting at 10AM.  Interment will follow at the Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Compassionate Care Hospice,  or any charity of your choice.
