HARRINGTON — Eileen “Zoe” Golaboski passed away Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017 in her home, with her loving husband by her side. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Eileen Keary.

Zoe was a unit clerk at the University of Maryland Hospital, Baltimore for many years in shock trauma, ICU, and pediatrics. A woman of devout faith, she was a member of St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church, and greatly enjoyed the group who came to see her each week.

Zoe enjoyed being outside, feeding birds, spending time with her cat, “Blizzy”, and camping. She enjoyed watching TV, esp. Desperate Housewives. But, the most important thing in her life, was spending time with her friends and family. She was known for sending cards to them, never missing a birthday or holiday.

Zoe was optimistic, strong willed, independent and maintained a good sense of humor, even after becoming crippled by MS. She had a good heart, and was very giving, which she demonstrated by donating to charities like the American Humane Society, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and Disabled American Vets.

In the words of Zoe: “I lived a busy happy life, and got to see so many places, and do so many things.”

She will be greatly missed. Zoe is survived by her loving husband, Richard Golaboski; daughters, Heidi Abner and Amber Golaboski; brother, Robert L. Keary; granddaughter, Darien Williams; nieces, Jackie Keary and Lori Reed;  and nephew, Robert B. Keary.

Services will be held privately at family’s discretion.

Arrangements are by the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, Inc. Harrington. Visit us at www.melvinfuneralhome.com to sign the condolence book.
