FELTON - Edith C. Aubrey passed away at home on Monday, March 5, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Sigrid and John Holgren.
Edith was a homemaker and a member of the Felton United Methodist Church. She and her husband of 68 years, enjoyed doing many things together from fishing, to dancing, to making jam and jelly. The two of them loved to travel in their motorhome, and enjoyed being “snowbirds” and spending their winters in Key Largo, Fla. where they maintained a second home for many years. Edith also enjoyed swimming, water aerobics, reading, and was known as a good baker who loved to bake pies. Edith, nicknamed “Sunshine”, had a good sense of humor, enjoyed life, and loved her family dearly. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander E. Aubrey; son, Gerald Aubrey; daughter, Judith Aubrey; and siblings, John, Elmer, Elsie, and Alva.
She is survived by her sons, Dennis (Marcia) Aubrey and Curtis (Linda) Aubrey; grandchildren, Dennis Aubrey Buckingham, Reyn Aubrey, Brian and Kevin Aubrey, Amy Aubrey Dow, Ruth Brown, Sarah, Andrew and Philip Lieberman; great-grandchildren, Kayla and Emma Aubrey, and Lillian Brown.
Funeral services will take place at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Hwy, Harrington, on Friday, March 9, 2018, at 1 p.m. A visitation for family and friends will take place one hour prior to the service at 12 p.m. Interment will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
