Dolores H Calvert

Dolores H. Calvert of Greenwood, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was 87. She was the daughter of the late William P. and Elizabeth C. Higgins.

Dolores worked many years as a secretary for the Woodbridge School District. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and loved going shopping with her girls. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Dolores also loved to cook and cooked not only for her family, but for anyone that was working on the farm, or stopped by for a visit. Dolores was the peacemaker of the family. She had a kind heart, a great sense of humor, and enjoyed life at home.

In addition to her parents, Dolores is preceded in death by her grandson, Jordan Calvert.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Harold Calvert; sons, Mark (Trina) Calvert and Michel Calvert; daughters, Lisa Calvert and Gina (R. Wayne) Smith; grandchildren Mason and Adam; and her dear friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 AM on Saturday July 1, 2017 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 109 Dixon St, Harrington, DE 19952. A visitation for family and friends will take place from 10 AM - 11 AM at the church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Dolores's memory to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
