Anna Leathery, of Felton, passed away on Saturday, November 25, at home with her family by her side, she was 83.  Anna was born in Germany to the late, Josef and Anna Wastian.  She grew up in Germany during WWII where she remembered the homes around her being bombed.

Anna started factory work at the early age of 14. Her last employment was at ILC, where she worked for 14 years making gloves and spacesuits for the astronauts. 

Being a native of Germany, Anna still enjoyed watching German TV stations.  She enjoyed grocery shopping, cooking, baking, and trying new foods.  Her hobbies included knitting, completing crossword puzzles, bowling, and sewing.

Anna was a very outgoing person who was very enjoyable to be around, and always thankful for what she had.

In addition to her parents, Anna is preceded in death by her loving husband, Hayden Leathery.

Anna is survived by her niece and caretaker, Diana Shade (Robert), several other nieces and nephews; and brother in law, Joseph Stadler.

A funeral service will take place at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy, Harrington, on Friday, December 1, at 1 pm with a visitation one hour prior to the service.  Burial will take place at Hollywood Cemetery.
