Thomas C Kujath

Thomas Charles Kujath, of Greenwood, DE, formerly of Detroit, MI, passed away at home on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at the age of 74.  He was the son of the late Donald Kujath and Alice McCoy.

Tom proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.  After his time in the service, he tried to do what he could to help fellow veterans. Tom held various jobs over the years after his retirement as a Xerox technician.  He was a “tinkerer” who enjoyed taking items apart to put them back together.

Tom was a creative man who was always doing something with his varied interests. He enjoyed science fiction, history, music, writing songs, and was working on a screen play.  He had a small recording company which published some of his songs. Tom loved magazine subscriptions to include Newsweek, and Astronomy Magazine to name a few. He was known to be thoughtful, always willing to help, and sending cards on special occasions. Tom was a go getter, who was able to achieve his dream of owning a home in Ocean City, MD after he retired.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Kujath; daughters, Lynn (Dave) Thompson, Christine (Jesse) Oxman; grandchildren, Evan and Shane Thompson, Alice and Elliott Oxman; siblings, Diane Pishalski (David), Nancy Layton (Mark) and Robert “Bob” Kujath (Denise); step children, Andrew “Andy” Mazurkiewicz and Nicole Seymour (Luke); step grand daughter, Kara Mazurkiewicz , and extended family and friends.

A funeral service will take place on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 11 AM at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, Inc, 15522 S. DuPont Hwy, Harrington, DE. A visitation will take place one hour prior starting at 10 AM.  Interment will take place at the White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery, 621 W. Long Lake Rd, Troy, MI on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 1:00PM.
