William Scott Gray Sr., of Milford, DE, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at the age of 42.

Mr. Gray was a proud graduate of Milford High School where he ranked fourth in his class.  He loved being a kicker for the football team and was very proud of his accomplishments and days in high school.  Mr. Gray was self employed and operated a VCR shop in Virginia for many years.

Mr. Gray enjoyed the great outdoors and loved camping, climbing trees, hunting, fishing and everything outdoors.  His favorite hobby was building boats, and he could build anything he set his mind to.  Chess was his game of choice, and he always had his constant dog companion by his side, Dozer.  His favorite quote was, “Life is like a pie – 3.16.”  He will be sadly missed by his family and close friends, and remembered as an intelligent, caring, and nice guy.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Victoria S. Gray.

He is survived by his father, Nelson R. Gray Sr. of Milford; loving wife, Marisa D. Gray of Milford; daughter, Melody A. Gove of Harrington; son, William S. Gray Jr. of Milford; brother, Nelson R. Gray Jr. of Florida; sister, Letty Ann Felts of Virginia and Michele Andrews of Millsboro; and grandson, Landon Chase Gove of Harrington.

Services will be private and at the family’s convenience.

Marisa and family,
My heart hurts for all of you. I will never forget Scott and the few times that we did spend together. Matthew remembers playing chess with him and also sends his hugs to you all. I loved our debates and to watch him enjoy his food. His love for climbing trees and how he told me he would go to Killens Pond and pick out the tallest one to climb. I know that he is in Heaven now with a new body and will be there waiting when God calls you home. I can see him now climbing the tallest tree he can find....love you all Lea

Dear Gray Family,
I am so saddened by the loss of Scott. I am the grand-daughter of Ralph and Patricia Gray; Vickie worked for us when we had the restaurant, The Sail Loft. I haven't seen Scott since her funeral. My prayers, thoughts and love are with all of you during this difficult time. May God bring you comfort; may the memories of Scott carry you through bringing a smile to your heart in the absence of his presence in your lives.
God Bless,
Natalie

Marisa and Family,

No words can express how sorry we are for your loss. Scott was one of God's special people. Adam and I often talk about the times they spent playing chess and just taking walks. We will be here for you. Gussie and Adam

Gray Family:

Michelle your loss and grief..........with just losng my Daddy, I can feel your loss, but you must put in Gods hands. They are in heaven and we will see them again. I am so fortunate we reconnected few months ago, I remember talking about how it is so important to stay in touch with family.
I havent seen Scott since Aunt Vicki"s funeral and I dont think I would had known him if I saw him, he grew up into a strong man. {Was always handsome}
You just have so many good memories that can help your grief and help each one of you keep going. I can go on and on about you Jodiie, Julie and Jill, you and Scott and Mike were little and we all would go to the Morris for holiday dinners. Scott always was a "BiG Brother" and always looked out for you. I send with a heavy heart and through tearful eyes,
Sincere Sympathy, Prayers and Love. Judy and Family

He was a great friend for many years growing up in Southern Delaware, but we had fallen out of touch as we grew older. I am very sad for the Gray family & my heart is heavy with memories of the person that he used to be.
