Samuel R. Ellers III

Samuel R. Ellers, III of Harrington, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the age of 20.  He was the son of Samuel and Ashley Ellers, Jr.

Sammy loved working as a welder for Epic Manufacturing of Greenwood.  He graduated Polytech High School in 2014, where he was known as a class clown.

Sammy was an awesome young man who was a kind hearted peacemaker that never held a grudge and would do anything for anyone.  He could always make you laugh, loved life, and was the type of person you wanted as a friend.  Sammy loved football, Nascar, and competing in various demolition derbies.  He was a very smart, hands on type of learner who earned everything he ever got.  He also loved to be outdoors, hunting and fishing.  He was as close to perfect as you could get.  He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

Sammy is preceded in death by his grandmother, Donna Lister.

In addition to his parents, Sammy is survived by his brother, Todd J. Ellers; grandparents, Samuel and Margo Ellers, Sr, and Douglas Taylor; great grandparents, Donald and Geraldine Lister; girlfriend, Ashley Greenly; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services will be Friday, December 30, 2016 at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington at 1pm.  Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery.  A visitation for family and friends will take place Thursday, December 29th from 5 – 8 pm at the funeral home.                       .
