Richard A. Bryan

Richard A. Bryan of Milford, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016, from Harbor Healthcare in Lewes, he was 71.  Richard was born in Lewes, DE to the late George Wilson and Elma Mae Bryan.

Richard served his country proudly in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.  He worked for Paradee Gas Company as a service technician for many years.  He also worked at the Milford Bowling Lanes part time as he loved the sport of bowling.  When he was not bowling, Richard enjoyed riding his Harley Davison motorcycle and cruising with his friends.  Richard loved his family, especially his daughter Hailey, and will forever be missed.

Richard was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose of Milford, American Legion, Redman, and ABATE.  He enjoyed participating in each of these organizations, and helped out with many of their fund raisers, dinners, and projects. 

In addition to his parents, Richard is preceded in death by a sister, Janet Lindsey. 

Richard is survived by his wife, Betsy R. Bryan; daughter, Hailey Alexis Bryan, both of Milford; brothers, Ronald W. Bryan of Arizona, Gorden D. (Lorraine) Bryan of New York; sisters, Betty (Lee) Dunn of Lewes, Maryln (Alfred) Mitchell of Harbeson, Gwen Leppo of Lewes, Shirley (Ted) Fort of Milton, Yvonne (Ronnie) Martz of Rehoboth; sister in laws, Karen (Mark) Carroll, Lois (Chuck) Bennett, Patti Mitchell; many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his Life will take place at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 1PM.  A visitation for family and friends will take place one hour prior to the service.  A private interment will take place at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Millsboro, at a later date.
