Pereklis "Perry" KelidisOctober 14, 2017
Pereklis "Perry" Kelidis, age 78, of Ridgely, MD, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton, Easton, MD. He was born in Krinides, Greece to the late, Savas and Despina Kelidis.
Mr. Kelidis retired as a restaurant owner of Sam's Pizza Restaurant in Ridgely, MD. He was well known as the owner/operator of Perry's Sausages where he traveled to different carnivals and fairs in the state of Maryland.
In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening in his vegetable garden and flower beds. He loved to fish, cook, and eat. He enjoyed working on home projects and painting. He especially enjoyed being around family and spending as much time as he could with his grandchildren.
He will be remembered as hard working with a heart of gold. He was very caring and giving and had a strong presence and personality. He could be ornery at times and loved to tell jokes and had a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.
Mr. Kelidis is survived by his wife of 53 years, Panagiota Kelidis; son, Savas "Sam" (wife-Tracy) Kelidis; daughter, Voula (husband-Andreas) Economides; sister, Parthena Dapias; grandchildren, Nicole Economides, Panagiota Economides, Christina Economides, Chara Economides, Colin Kelidis, Nolan Kelidis.
Services will take place at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 1 pm. A visitation for family and friends will start two hours prior to the service. Interment will be at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
