Welcome to the memorial page for

Margaret H. Oldham

December 19, 2017

Margaret H. Oldham of Felton, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital, with her family by her side, she was 92.  Mrs. Oldham was born in Willow Grove to the late Milton Edward and Helen A. Moore.

Mrs. Oldham worked as an assistant manager for Sherwin Williams of Milford, for many years and eventually retired from there.

In her spare time, Mrs. Oldham loved to sew and crotchet.  She enjoyed entering her crotchet pieces into the Delaware State Fair every year, and won many awards over the years.  She also loved to cook and enjoyed hosting big dinners, especially after extended family would come visit from out of state during deer hunting season.  She loved to listen to Rush Limbaugh almost every day and watching old westerns on TV not to forget her favorite game shows of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.  She enjoyed horse racing as well since her son and grandsons were drivers.  She made sure they took her to all their races no matter where they were at.  Baseball was another favorite of hers and she enjoyed watching the Phillies play on TV.  She enjoyed keeping up with all of her grand children's sports activities.

Mrs. Oldham's biggest love in life was her family.  She loved to talk and if you received a phone call from her, you were guaranteed to be on the phone for an hour.  Although she was known to speak her mind, she never said a bad word about anyone, would help anyone in need and never met anyone she did not like.  Her memory was sharp as a tack and could remember anything.  Her spunky, caring, and loving demeanor will be sorely missed.

Mrs. Oldham is preceded in death by a sister, Alice Moore Sipple; and stepchildren, Jeffrey E. Oldham and Susan Hyatt.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, James E. Oldham of Felton; sons, Wayne (Barbara) Walters of Salisbury, MD, Ronald (Shirley) Walters of Felton; step children, James Paul Oldham of Odenton, MD, Stephen (Kathy) W. Oldham of Jackonsville, FL, Scott (Debbie) L. Oldham of Hedgesville, WV; 18 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; and a host of extended family.
