Laura Ann Wood

Laura Ann Wood, 58, of Harrington, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016, from her home, surrounded by the family she loved dearly.  She was born in Orange, NJ to Roy L. and Joan T. Deter.

Laura worked for the past 16 years, at home, in administration for the Aetna Insurance Company.  In her spare time, she loved to go camping with her husband Floyd.  She also enjoyed reading, baking, and gardening.  Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family, and enjoyed activities with them.  Laura also enjoyed spending time with the ladies auxiliary of the American Legion, where she was a former member, and also the Harrington Moose Lodge, where she was a current member.

Laura will be remembered as  a loving mother, wife, and grandmother.  She had a heart of gold, but she also told you like it was and was straight to the point.  She will be remembered forever and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and close friends. 

Laura is survived by her husband, Floyd W. Wood of Harrington; children, John V. Cacopardo of Camden, Danielle Y. Cacopardo of Milford, William J. Rodenbaugh of Rehoboth, Jacob F. Rodenbaugh of Harrington, Michael L. Rodenbaugh of Rehoboth; stepchildren, Bionca M. Wood of Lewes, Christopher Wood of Millsboro; Siblings, Roy L. Deter Jr. of Denville, NJ, Lynn T. Ferrico of Branchville, NJ, Glen W. Deter of Green Village, NJ, Wayne P. Deter of Harrington, grandchildren, Ethan Cacopardo, Dylan Davis, and Alexandria Cacopardo.

A gathering to celebrate her life will take place on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the Harrington Moose Lodge #534, 16268 S. DuPont Highway; Harrington, Delaware 19952, from 3 to 6 PM.
