Judith A. Dean

Judith A. Dean, age 67, of Harrington, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, from the Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital.  She was the daughter of the late Claudell Hicks and Victoria Harris.

Judy was a graduate of Harrington High School Class of 1966.  She was a stay at home mom and homemaker.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, playing on her Kindle, camping, and crafts, mainly needle work.  She loved spending time with her family and participating in family events.  She loved watching her hummingbirds and her Alaska shows on TV. 

Judy will be remembered and cherished as a sweet, devoted, and incredibly loving wife and mother.  She loved her family dearly, and oftentimes served as the peace maker.  She even had a soft spot for her son in law Freddy who she always stuck up for.  Her caring nature and jokester personality will always be remembered.

She is survived by her loving husband of almost 50 years, W. Raymond Dean of Harrington; daughter, Karen (Louis "Freddy") Thibault of Harrington; sisters, Patsy Hutchins of Panama City Beach, FL, Nancy Dean of Harrington, Louise Balderson of Dover; many nieces, nephews, cousins.

Funeral services will take place at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at noon.  A visitation for family and friends will take place one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at St. Johnstown Cemetery, Greenwood.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Farmington Fire Co., 20920 S Dupont Hwy, Farmington, DE 19950.
