Gertie Louise Fairbanks of  Seaford, DE  passed away at her home on Wednesday, November 29, 2017.  She was 89 years old.  She was the daughter of the late, Roland and Ida Brady.

Louise grew up in Maryland on a tobacco farm. In addition to being a homemaker, she was a pastor with World Christianship Ministries. Her biggest loves in life were her family and Jesus.  Louise attended the Stein Highway Church of God in Seaford.

Louise's hobbies included spoiling her grandkids, attending family get togethers, traveling, shopping, and eating out. She loved to laugh, and was a real people person, to know Louise was to love her.

In addition to his parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Fairbanks; brothers, Roland Brady, Samuel Brady, Joseph Brady, Edward Brady,  and Earl Brady; and sisters, Lucy Brady, Catherine Brady Laukeman, and Gladdis Brady.

She is survived by her sons; H. George (Shirley) Jackson, Dennis (Rebecca) Jackson, Ronald (Betty Ann) Jackson; grandchildren, George L. (Noelle) Jackson, Mindy (Brian) Greenhawk, Jennifer Jackson, Jessica (Antonio) Bueres, Jonathon Jackson; 9 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Theodore "Peck" Brady, Harrison Brady, and Herbert Brady.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 2:00PM at Delaware Veteran's Cemetery-South, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to Melvin Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.  Contributions for Gertie Fairbanks, c/o Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy, Harrington, DE 19952.
