HARRINGTON — Gale O. Taylor, daughter of the late Herman and Rose Passwaters, passed away at her home on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016.

Mrs. Taylor worked in the manufacturing industry as a production worker, assembling circuit breakers, before retiring from the Eaton Company in 2001.  In her free time she enjoyed crocheting afghans and collecting salt and pepper shakers.  Mrs. Taylor never met a stranger and was very friendly and outgoing. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and will be greatly missed by her family.


In addition to her parents, Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by her husband, Larry M. Taylor; and a sister, Penny Elliott.


She is survived by her son, Walter Hearn, Jr., of Laurel; daughter, Wanda Layton, of Pittsville, Md.; sisters, Bonnie Hearn, Rosemary Dukes, and Candy  Mears; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; as well as, nieces and nephews.


Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016, at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery Chapel, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966.


In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720, or to your favorite charity.
