Emily M. Woodall, of Harrington, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, she was 94. She was the daughter of the late, Earl and Mary Attix.
Mrs. Woodall was mainly a homemaker whose number one priority was her family. However she also worked in quality control for ILC of Frederica, and also as a quality control secretary for LD Caulk.
Mrs. Woodall was an avid reader and also enjoyed listening to books on audio. She loved to crotchet and knit, and loved being outdoors in her yard and garden. Another favorite hobby was playing cards, and she looked forward to Sunday nights when she would get together with her family. Her family will always remember her as a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was her world and she took care of all of them. Her generous and kind nature will forever be in the hearts of her family.
Mrs. Woodall was a member of the Ladies of the Moose of Harrington.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the love of her life, her loving husband of 72 years, Jesse T. Woodall; brothers, Billy, Gilbert, and Donald Attix; sister, Isabell Jarman; and grandchildren, Jeffrey Woodall and Lori Cannon.
She is survived by her children, Norman (Joan) Woodall, Wayne Woodall, Julian Woodall, Brenda Sheline, and Vicki (Larry) Cannon; brother, Robert Attix; sisters. Thelma Pryor, Clara Gravatt, Joan Pratt; brother-in-law, Frank Woodall; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
Services will take place at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, DE, on Friday, April 20, at 1PM with a visitation starting at 12 PM. Interment will take place at St. Johnstown Cemetery at a later date.
