HARRINGTON — Dwayne H. Liezert passed away Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, at Bayhealth, Kent General Dover.  He was born to the late Cecil and Delsie Liezert.  He was 77.

Mr. Liezert was a traveling carpenter foreman for many years prior to becoming a chicken farmer. He was a hard worker who always wanted to take care of his family.

Mr. Liezert enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns, hunting when younger, spending time at his cabin and fishing.  “Pap” or “Pappy” as he was called, always wanted to teach all the grandkids how to fish.

Mr. Liezert was one of the most honest people you could ever meet with a great sense of humor. If he gave his word, it would happen. He often would help others without looking for credit.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Liezert was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Billie Ann Palapay; and brother, Donald Liezert.

Mr. Liezert is survived by his loving wife, Jerilyn Leizert; son, Michael (Tracy) Liezert; daughters, Kimberly (Frank) Hegedus, Tammy Paquette; step-daughters, Tammy (George) Gibson, Kelly Ann (Jerry) Koether, Sandra Souva; brother, Gordon Liezert; 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Services will be held privately at the family’s discretion in Delaware.

Friends and family will be received Wednesday, August 30, 2017, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, with funeral services at 1:00 PM.
