Diane Marie Porter

Diane Marie Porter of Felton, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 3, at her home, she was 57. Ms. Porter was born in Milford, DE to the late Charlotte L. Porter and Frank Porter Jr. of Harrington.

Ms. Porter worked as the office manager for the family run business, Porter Sand and Gravel. She was a very hard worker and her dedication to her job was evident as she was always there even when sick. It was her home away from home.

In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping and cooking, especially all the holiday dinners. She also enjoyed spending time at the slots, and especially loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. Ms. Porter was always willing to help others in need whenever possible and her friendly, personable, and loving demeanor will be sorely missed.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her daughter and son in law, Stacey and Wes Sizemore of Harrington; siblings, Donald R. and his wife Peggy Porter, Roland and his wife Barb Draper of Federalsburg; sister, Charlotte Ann Draper of Federalsburg; her dear companion, David Mills of Felton, and 4 grandchildren.

Services will take place on Thursday, November 9 at 1 pm, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy, Harrington, with a visitation two hours prior to the service. Interment will take place at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
