Delmas Leisure

Delmas Leisure, of Bridgeville, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016, from his home surrounded by his loving family, he was 67.  Delmas was born in Metz, West Virginia to the late Charles F. and Norma G. Leisure Sr.

Delmas worked as a security guard for over 20 years, with various agencies, but mostly for the Securitas Security Firm.  He was extremely proud to be a security guard and was a hard worker.

In his spare time, he enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing, and was an avid sports fan.  He will be remembered as a man of very deep faith who lived what he believed.  He was a "man he didn't have to be" who stepped in and filled a role as a loving husband and father.  He was a man of integrity who expressed to his children through his actions and faith of how to live life to its fullest and live a devoted life to your spouse and to your marriage.  He will be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents, Delmas is preceded in death by a brother, Charles Franklin Leisure Jr., and a sister, Judith A. Leisure Wolfe.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 43 years, Jacqueline S. Leisure of Bridgeville; children, Christina Lynn (Charles Franklin III) Leisure, Dennis Leisure, Dean Allen (Bobbi Sue) Leisure, Gary Lee (Hannah Elizabeth) Leisure, Micheal Loren (Leslie Fay) Leisure, Elizabeth Marie (Jeremy David) Leisure Heeger; brother, John Leisure; sister, Helen Heath; 20 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will take place at the House of Praise for All People International, 10280 Shawnee Road, Greenwood, DE 19950, on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 11AM.  A visitation for family and friends will take place at the church on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8pm. Interment will take place at the Wyatt Cemetery in Wyatt, West Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Funeral Home to help defray expenses, or to Compassionate Care Hospice.
