Charles "Eddie" Pearson

Charles "Eddie" Pearson  of Felton, DE, son of the late William Nathan and Marion Pearson, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Arden Courts-Wilmington. He was 80 years old.

Mr. Pearson was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was stationed in Europe at the Berlin Wall in Germany.  He retired from Central Tractor where he worked for 27 1/2 years.  He was also a farmer.  He was a lifetime member of the Mid Del Archer Club, the Delaware State Archery Assoc., and the National Archery Association.  In addition, he was a lifetime member of the Harrington Moose Lodge and Moose Riders, and the American Legion Post C.K.R.T Post #7  of Harrington. 

Eddie had many various hobbies.  He enjoyed deer hunting with his bow and shotgun,  and loved rabbit hunting with his beagles.   He would shoot pool whenever he could, and was the Delaware State 9 ball champion in 2012, earning him a chance to compete in Las Vegas that same year. He also enjoyed boat riding, fishing, crabbing, 4-wheeling around the farm,  and traveling to his log cabin in PA.  Eddie could fix anything that needed fixing and was a loving, patient and kind father to his daughter and grand-daughter.  He loved to joke and have a good time, and will be greatly missed.

Besides his parents, Mr. Pearson was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marie K. Pearson; sisters: Barbara Pearson, Pam Pearson, Ellen Brocenhurst, and Faye Lyons.

He is survived by his daughter Ann M. Pearson; granddaughter Jessica Pearson-Miles and her husband Spencer; and sister, Joyce A. Lake.  

Visitation will be on Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 6pm-8pm at the Melvin Funeral Home 15522 S. DuPont Hwy. Harrington DE.  Funeral Services will be Monday, October 24, 2016 at 1pm also at Melvin Funeral Home . Burial will be at Hopkins Cemetery, Felton, DE.
