Welcome to the memorial page for

Beverly J. Vincent

March 2, 2017

Beverly J. Vincent, age 68, of Farmington, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017, from Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, just a few short days after her beloved husband of 47 years left this Earth to go to his Heavenly Home.  Beverly was born in Wilmington, DE to the late, Robert H. Vincent Sr. and Laura M. Vincent Davis.

Beverly graduated from Christiana High School, class of 1966.  She worked as a clerk for the post office for many years.  In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bingo and basket bingo.  She loved playing cards and meeting with a group every Thursday night to play.  She also enjoyed the domino game of Mexican Train.  In years past, she enjoyed bowling which she did for over 24 years.  Beverly also enjoyed crafts of every kind and one of her favorites was crocheting blankets.  Every year, she looked forward to the Delaware State Fair and going as often as possible.  She was a collector of clowns and looked forward to collecting new pieces.

Beverly will be remembered as always upbeat and would do anything for you, although she could also tell you exactly how she felt about matters without any kind of filter.  She was a very strong person who took every thing in stride, especially through her sickness.  Her love and upbeat personality will always be cherished and remembered.

Beverly was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Farmington Volunteer Fire Company, which she joined in 1969.  She was recently awarded the Auxiliary Member of the year for the entire state.  She was also a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband who passed away on Sunday, Ronald C. Vincent; brothers, Bobby and Ricky Vincent; and her "favorite" nephew, Mark Wix, and her dog, Buddy.

She is survived by her sisters, Lousie Wix, Tammy McCloskey; brothers, Terry "Stretch" Vincent, Timmy Davis, Tracy "Hap" Davis ; numerous  nieces and nephews; and her dog, Jake.

As a testimony to the life they shared together, services will take place, along side her husband, on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, DE, at 12pm, with a visitation two hour prior.  The interment will take  place at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
